FAQs

What services do you offer?

1

Psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy for patients from age 5 through older adulthood. That includes depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, and substance use disorders. Care is available in person in Houston and by telehealth in Texas, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Florida.

How do I get started?

2

Start on the Get Started page and fill out the short request form. We'll follow up within one business day to check your insurance and find a time that works. Once your appointment is set, you'll get a link to complete your paperwork online before we meet. Your first visit is a full psychiatric evaluation — an unhurried conversation about your history, what's happening now, and what you want to be different.

What makes you different?

3

Most psychiatric practices treat one slice of life — kids, or adults, or older adults — and hand you off at the edges. Blooming Arc treats every stage, from age 5 through older adulthood. A family can bring a ten-year-old and a grandparent to the same practice, and a teenager doesn't have to start over with a stranger at nineteen. Appointments are long enough that you don't have to rush through your own story.

Do you prescribe medication?

4

Yes. At Blooming Arc, we evaluate, prescribe, and manage psychiatric medication. Whether medication is the right step is decided together after your evaluation, and some patients do well with therapy alone. If you're already taking medication, bring the names and doses to your first visit.

Do you take insurance?

5

Insurance coverage varies by plan and by state. Contact us with your insurance information before you book and we'll verify your benefits and tell you what your visits will cost. Self-pay rates are available, and we can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.

Do you offer telehealth?

6

Yes. You can meet with our provider from home, from work, or wherever you feel comfortable. Telehealth is available across Texas, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Florida, and in-person visits are available in Houston.

What if I'm in crisis?

7

This site isn't monitored around the clock. If you're in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or go to your nearest emergency room. If it's not an emergency but you need to be seen soon, contact us and we'll get you in as quickly as we can.
